Smartboards...

Happy Halloween :)

Week two

This week we looked at smart boards and their endless uses and possibilities.

'Interactive or just whiteboards?' The smart board and how it is used within the classroom is often scrutinised. Maria Northcote critiques many teachers use (or lack of use) of the features of the smart board.

Benefits of using an interactive whiteboard:

  • Developing discussion skills.
  • Addressing different kinds of learning styles: visual, auditory, kinesthetic (tactile).
  • Edutainment; holding attetention, stimulating, angaging, motivating
  • Supportive for EAL, SEN children
  • Developing literacy, ICT, thinking skills etc.

Smart notebook

Smart notebook supplies a vast amount of useful resources to use with your smart board.

  1. Hi Natanya, I’m loving your use of pictures and videos in your blogs. The rabbit one is so cute and so true (I feel like collapsing from staring at the screen too!)
    Look forward to seeing more
